The New Sig Romeo-X Enclosed Optic

Whether you are looking for glass for your handgun, shotgun, or tactical carbine, the Romeo series of optics from Sig Sauer has something for everyone. The Romeo boasts a durable aluminum housing and an exceptional battery life at an exceptional price, with models to fit personal preference and weapon of choice. But most of the Romeo series features an open emitter for the dot reticle, which is vulnerable to being cut off by debris and dust. The new Romeo-X Enclosed takes care of that potential failure point with an enclosed emitter.

The new Sig Romeo-X Enclosed features straightforward brightness settings, 15 in total, across three different red dot reticle options: a 3 MOA dot, a circle dot, or a 6 MOA dot. On the medium brightness setting, this model has a projected battery life of 20,000 hours in total. To ration power, the Romeo-X Enclosed uses motion activated illumination and dark/light awareness to automatically wake the optic and keep it at a setting appropriate to the environment.

“The ROMEO-X Enclosed leverages our expertise as the industry leader in combining the durable optic technologies that are trusted by the U.S. military and armed forces around the world with a new standard in strength and reliability for the ultimate compact red dot,” said Andy York, President of Sig Sauer Electronic Optics “The ROMEO-X Enclosed has a fully enclosed, sealed, argon purged optical system, so it won’t fog, and has a low deck height so it easily co-witnesses with your standard-height iron sights. This feature-rich red dot is inspired by the mil-spec ROMEO-M17 that delivers dependability without compromise, is trusted by the military, and is the total solution for the most demanding shooters and circumstances.”

The Romeo-X Enclosed is shipping now and is currently available in two different models: the Enclosed Compact and Enclosed Full Size. The Compact is meant for pistols like the Sig P365 and other handguns with a Shield Arms RMSc footprint. The Full Size is meant for larger service handguns with a DeltaPoint Pro footprint. MSRP varies from $629.99 to $719.99.
