Volquartsen Firearms Has Introduced Mini Scorpion-X .22 LR

First introduced in 1887, the .22LR cartridge remains popular with novice shooters and experts alike thanks to its minimal recoil and relatively low noise. It is also an affordable option over more powerful cartridges.

Volquartsen Firearms has expanded its lineup of .22LR handguns with the Mini Scorpion-X, its most compact Scorpion package. It features an overall length of approximately 8 inches while weighing just 1.12 lbs. The 3-inch Scorpion-X LLV has been combined with the Volquartsen lightweight VF Target Frame in the 1911 grip angle, creating this lightweight and extremely accurate .22LR.

The Mini Scorpion-X LLV upper, with a stainless-steel barrel and laser-hardened breech housed in an aluminum shroud, offers multiple hole mounting locations, allowing for the mounting of various popular red dots.

“Keeping the red dot mounted as low as possible on the bore axis makes for faster sight acquisition. The easiest and cleanest way to do this is to mount the red dot directly to the top of the upper,” said Scott Volquartsen, president of Volquartsen Firearms.

The pistol delivers match-grade accuracy in a lightweight package. The barrel is threaded 1/2×28, making it the perfect suppressor host, and the Volquartsen Competition Bolt with DLC Coating ensures smooth operation and function.
