Woman Fatally Shoots Knife-Wielding Intruder with Restraining Order
A man armed with several knives was fatally shot by a woman in Monrovia, California, after he violated a restraining order and attempted to stab two people at her home. MONROVIA, CALIFORNIA (3-minute read) — A man allegedly armed with several knives was fatally shot outside a woman’s home in Monrovia on Friday. The woman had previously obtained a restraining order against him.
Monrovia Police Department officers responded to a call from the woman around 9:20 p.m. at a residence in the 400 block of S. Shamrock Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found the man deceased with a gunshot wound.
According to the police statement, the man had attempted to stab two people at the home. During the altercation, the woman discharged a firearm, fatally wounding him. His identity has not been released.
Investigators recovered several knives and a firearm at the scene. Two individuals were detained for questioning and voluntarily provided statements. No arrests have been made at this time.
