John Lovell is a best-selling author and founder of the Warrior Poet Society—protectors who train and fight for a higher purpose. Likewise, Lovell served in the 2nd Ranger Battalion and is now a video content creator, public speaker, firearms trainer, and homesteader. His recent collaboration with Daniel Defense draws on his firearm knowledge and experience to deliver this rifle to users.

Starting with the M4A1 for the foundation, the upper and lower receivers are CNC machined of 7075-T6 aluminum. In addition, the WPSM4A1 features Daniel Defense’s first-time-ever OD Green Cerakote finish for enhanced durability. Likewise, the finish sets it apart from any Daniel Defense currently in the market.
Additionally, the rifle features the cutting-edge, heavy-duty RIS III 12.5-inch free float handguard, known for its SOCOM legacy. The rail includes the rock-solid 6-bolt system, full-length Picatinny rail up top, and M-LOK slots surrounding the circumference. Likewise, the rail includes Railscales HTP honeycomb panels and Railscales Karve-P handstop for maximum control.
The 14.5-inch cold hammer forged barrel, chambered in 5.56 NATO, includes a pinned and welded Surefire Warcomp flash hider.
The Signature Series WPSM4A1 features Daniel Defense furniture for maximum comfort during long courses of fire. Likewise, an ambidextrous Radian charging handle and ambidextrous Radian 45-degree safety provide easy handling for right- or left-handed shooters. Additionally, a Holosun 515 GM optic, mounted atop a Unity FAST Micro Mount comes installed.
Finally, the Geissele SSA trigger delivers crisp and consistent shots with each pull.
The package ships with the WPS sling, a signed copy of the Warrior Poet Way, a custom challenge coin, and a matching hard case.
