Sig Sauer, in collaboration with Team SIG Captain Max Michel, has announced the release of the newest Romeo red dot, the ROMEO3MAX-PRO. Touted as the ultimate competition-ready pistol reflex sight, it is designed to fit all SIG P320 pistols.
After successfully using the original ROMEO3MAX optic in competition to amass his impressive list of achievements (like 13 National Championships, a Guinness World Record, and ISPC World Champion), Michel has been working with SIG to develop the next iteration of the sight. Using the common DeltaPoint Pro mounting footprint and with a low-profile, CNC-machined aircraft aluminum housing, the new ROMEO3MAX Pro reflex sight allows the user to mount on any P320 and co-witness with suppressor-height iron sights for backup.
“I’m thrilled to announce the release of the new ROMEO3MAX-PRO! After more than five years of success with my original ROMEO3MAX optic, we redesigned and re-engineered this optic with loads of new upgrades,” said Team SIG Captain Max Michel. “The ROMEO3MAX-PRO has a PRO footprint, so it can be easily mounted on any SIG P320 without an adapter plate, an aspheric glass lens for amazing clarity, a gigantic window for faster target acquisition, and a thin housing around the lens that virtually disappears when aiming for an unobstructed view.”
The sight uses a 31mm distortion-free aspheric glass lens and red notch reflector coating for a clean and crisp view with either a 3 MOA or 8 MOA dot. The new ROMEO3MAX Pro features 15 different brightness settings with 13 dedicated day settings and two dedicated night vision options. The sight boasts an IPX-7 waterproof rating, meaning it produces fogproof performance while using both the MOTAC (Motion Activated Illumination) and MAGNETAC (Magnetic Activation), so it can be used anywhere and at any time.
The pistol reflex sight is powered by the ubiquitous CR1632 battery, which provides up to 20,000 hours of runtime at a medium brightness setting. If battery changes are necessary, they’re a breeze thanks to the side-mounted battery tray, which keeps the optic put during changes. To round out the sight’s features, it offers a total elevation change of 100 MOA and a total windage of 100 MOA and weighs just 1.1 ounces with the battery.
