Streamlight’s New ProTac HL 6 Flashlight

Streamlight has released its newest rechargeable Li-Ion flashlight with the ProTac H6. This new model is the brightest in the ProTac family of tactical lights, offering a whopping 5,300 Lumens and 80,000 Candela.

Constructed from 6000 series machined aircraft aluminum and an anodized finish, the ProTac HL 6 is strong and durable. It features a gasket-sealed glass lens complete with an anti-reflective coating with an impressive beam reach for light when you need it most. Incorporated into the design is a multi-function head switch for easy one-handed operation and TEN-TAP programming, allowing the user to change between momentary, variable intensity, or strobe modes. The high setting offers a 5,300-lumen output and 80,000 Candela for over a 566-meter reach, while the medium mode offers 1,500 lumens for a 303-meter beam distance, and the low setting offers 450 lumens for a 164-meter range.

“The ProTac HL 6 is like a handheld flood light, allowing users to see all around them while also providing a powerful beam reach to put more light on a target at a distance,” said Streamlight Chief Revenue Officer Michael F. Dineen. “It’s the ideal light for first responders, outdoor enthusiasts, industrial technicians, and other users, whether performing room clearing, lighting an outdoor path, or troubleshooting repairs under low-light conditions. It also is powered by convenient and cost-saving rechargeable batteries.”

The new ProTac HL 6 runs off the included two Streamlight SL-B48 Li-Ion rechargeable battery packs with an integrated USB-C charging port and a charge cord for convenience. The batteries can be charged up to 500 times, and run times range from 12.5 hours on the low setting to two hours on the high setting.

To top it off, the ProTac HL 6 comes with an anti-roll face cap, textured rubber sleeve, and lanyard for solid gripping. The unit is IPX7 water-resistant and has an impact resistance rating of one meter. It is just about 10.5 inches long and weighs only 1.3 pounds with the batteries. Available in two models (with a 120V USB adapter or without), the Streamlight ProTac HL 6 flashlight has an MSRP of $247.78 and is out now.
