Vortex Introduces its Defender-XL Micro Red Dot
Following the success of the Defender-CCW and Defender-ST, optics maker Vortex is expanding its line of micro red dot sights with the Defender-XL, designed for both competitive and recreational shooters. Available with either a 5 MOA or 8 MOA reticle, the newest addition to the Defender line-up features a large hard coast aspherical lens that provides a distortion-free sight picture and truer colors.
The bright, adjustable dot can also adapt to any lighting conditions and reduce eyestrain in long-duration events. Its ultra-wide sight window promises to enhance the field of view to deliver quicker target acquisition, more accurate follow-up shots, and greater flexibility in unconventional shooting positions.
The Defender-XL further offers a Deltapoint Pro Footprint, while the shock shield polymer insert ensures it can withstand hard daily use and abuse, including unexpected drops. In addition to being waterproof and shockproof, the Defender-XL micro red dot’s motion activation with 10-minute shutoff means it is ready when needed most.
