Fatal Smoke Shop Robbery In North Miami Beach: What Happened?

A robbery at Miami Cloudz Smoke Shop in North Miami Beach led to the tragic death of an employee, Salem Albakri. Police are seeking four suspects involved in the smoke shop robbery and murder incident.


NORTH MIAMI BEACH, FL (1-minute read) — A tragic armed robbery at Miami Cloudz Smoke Shop on June 11 has left the North Miami Beach community in shock. The incident occurred on Northeast 163rd Street near 20th Avenue and resulted in the senseless death of 35-year-old store employee, Salem Albakri.

Surveillance footage captured the harrowing events. Four men were seen at the counter when one suddenly drew a firearm, aiming it at Albakri and ordering him not to move. In a desperate attempt to escape, Albakri ran to the back of the store, but the assailant fired a single, fatal shot. All four men fled the scene immediately after.

Responding officers found Albakri with a gunshot wound, and despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Law enforcement is now urgently seeking any information that could lead to the identification and capture of the four suspects. They are urging anyone with knowledge of the incident to contact Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
