Federal Adds 22 Creedmoor Loads to Fusion and American Eagle Lines
November 1, 2026
Federal is now loading 22 Creedmoor into two of its mainstream rifle lines, giving fans of the fast 22-caliber cartridge more factory ammo options to actually find on dealer shelves.
Key points
- Fusion load: a 75-grain bonded Soft Point rated at 3,300 fps, product number F22CRDFS2, with an MSRP of $47.99 per 20-round box.
- American Eagle load: a 75-grain Total Metal Jacket bullet also running 3,300 fps, SKU AE22CRD1, priced at $40.99 for 20 rounds.
- Availability: Federal says both loads are shipping to dealers nationwide now.
- Why it matters: Federal's Josh Vickers notes the cartridge can push heavier 22-caliber bullets past 3,000 fps for flat trajectories and predator-hunting performance, according to TFB Staff.
- What's next: Federal has an 80-grain Sierra Tipped MatchKing load for competition shooters coming soon in 22 Creedmoor.
Quick take
This is less about new technology and more about supply catching up to demand. The 22 Creedmoor already has a reputation for flat-shooting, high-velocity performance, but ammo availability has been the bottleneck for a lot of shooters. Federal filling out both a hunting-oriented bonded load and a cheaper practice round in TMJ gives owners of this chambering a reason to actually shoot it more, not just hunt with it once a season.
