The Hayman Minuteman Quick-Access Personal Defense Safe
The in-wall configuration of the Minuteman allows for installation anywhere in your home, even behind doors. Its design is easy to install in buildings/homes with standard wall-board and 16-inch center stud framing. Likewise, it has multiple mounting holes for solidly attaching it to the studs and the floor plate.
Featuring an 11-gauge (1/8-inch) formed steel body, the safe is available in two models, one with a 1/8-inch thick door and one with a 3/16-inch thick door. When shut, a solid deadbolt prevents any unauthorized entry. Likewise, a hard plate protects the lock from drilling entry attempts.
Authorized entry is provided via a UL-listed electronic lock that utilizes a recessed keypad with biometric scanner for fast entry. The keypad recess is surrounded by luminous tape, so it is easier to locate in the dark. However, it is worth noting that there is no mechanical entry as a backup. So, be sure to check the batteries often.
The safe accommodates defensive firearms up to 39 inches long. So, it will easily handle an AR-15 or shotgun as well as handguns and additional accessories like flashlights and extra magazines.
Long guns are stored in a muzzle-down position via quick-release straps and are ready to be quickly deployed. Correspondingly, the bottom-hinge design opens with the door tilting out (opening from the top). As a result, you do not have to reorient your firearm for use after accessing it.
Similarly, a pistol holster can be attached to the hook-and-loop interior storage system for fast access as well. Once the door is open, a motion sensor light illuminates the contents of the safe for easy firearm location.
